Romain2023Q: airpods staying "hot" ?
Hi, I've been loving the app so far. It works like a charm.
Just one little thing that is super inconvenient is that every time I press the key to start recording, there is a half second where it's not listening. And usually it has to do with my AirPods. And I've done some research; it seems that it's because the app is not forcing the AirPods to stay on all the time. It's kind of like restarting from scratch, if that makes sense.
Do you have any options to have the AirPods always on? Or maybe it's another issue that creates this half second of delay? We'd appreciate your answer. Thank you.

Jun 24, 2026A: Hi! Yes, this is a known issue and this is due to the limitation of the OS. When you click, it takes a while for the system to trigger the microphone of AirPods since they are over Bluetooth. Since Amical only activates the microphone when you click the hotkey, there is just a bit of lag since the AirPods are connected over Bluetooth/wireless, which is what adds a lag. We are trying to figure out a solution for this though.
