Q: Use with Events
Hi. You features sound quite interesting.
I am writing to ask how the events work in Directorist:
- we currently use the plugin Events Manager and we are considering changing to The Events Calendar
- how can you work with existing events plugins?
- Or can we use your listings features to replace events plugins?
- We want to create an events website like Eventbrite including ticket tracking for our organization clients. Can this be done?
- We have some custom tools developed over the years like a CSV importer for events and an HTML generator to export events in a custom format. Are we able to update these tools to work with your database structure?
- How much custom programming do we need to do to get Directorist to what we need?
- If we buy Tier 2, and we want to upgrade to Tier 3 or Tier 4, how do we do it?

Jun 23, 2026A: Hi,
Directorist does not currently integrate with Events Manager or The Events Calendar, nor does it have dedicated event fields. However, you can create an events directory using custom fields, and our Booking extension supports event bookings and ticket availability.
We also plan to introduce dedicated event fields and related features in an upcoming roadmap release.
Your existing CSV importer and HTML generator can be adapted to Directorist, but this would require custom development depending on their complexity. A complete Eventbrite-style platform would also need additional customization.
AppSumo users can upgrade their license tier directly from their AppSumo account.
Md_Masud_Rana,
Good job, I think having an events extension can partially solve this problem.
eg, if one had a micro-niched directory, that directory should solve that demographics' needs.
That directory should be able to offer other additional income stream services such as jobs section, press release, events section, etc. Such extensions could extend the directory value.
