API key returns an error, can you confirm the correct setup?
Hi LightX team,
My API key is not working when I try to use the LightX API. Lack of follow up?
Could you please confirm the correct setup steps and what I should check first?
Specifically:
Where do I find the correct API key inside my LightX account?
Does the AppSumo License Tier include API access, or is API access only available on a separate paid plan?
Are there any required headers, endpoint format, or authentication steps I need to follow?
If the API returns an error, which status code or message should I look for to identify the problem?
Can you share a simple working example request?
I will not post my API key publicly, but I can share the error message or account/order details privately if needed.

Regarding the Custom GPT integration, we are currently exploring the setup on our end and working on building a solution ourselves.
To clarify your questions:
Your API key can be found under the API section in the mega menu. If you have already created an API key, you can access and manage it here: ://www.lightxeditor.com/api-dashboard/
AppSumo License Tiers do not include API access. Our APIs are offered as a separate product, with independent pricing and usage plans.

We have verified that our APIs are functioning correctly. You can test them directly using Postman or any API testing tool. At the moment, we are actively figuring out the best approach for integrating our APIs with Custom GPTs and will share any updates as we learn more.
