Q: Problem(s)

Hello Picbolt Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I’m writing to ask about the transparent background feature for icon and logo generation. At the moment, it doesn’t seem to be working as expected, as the generated images still appear with a background. It doesn't matter whether the file is downloaded as .png, .svg, .ico.

Could you please let me know why this is happening and whether this feature is currently supported or planned to be fixed?

Also, when instructing to generate 4 icons at once, it doesn't seem to work.

Thank you in advance for your help. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

A: Hey Dirk,

The transparent background issue is currently coming from OpenAI’s image generation itself. In some cases, it returns images with a mild grey background even when transparency is requested, regardless of the export format (PNG, SVG, ICO).

Workaround:
You can use Picbolt’s built-in editor and slightly adjust the brightness so the background turns pure white, then download as PNG. This works as a practical equivalent to transparency. Notably, this issue does not occur when using your own OpenAI API key. We’re actively exploring a proper fix.

Regarding generating 4 icons at once, you’re right - it’s not working as expected right now, and we’re already working on fixing it.

Appreciate you flagging this, and thanks for your patience.
