So far so good :)

Just putting my course together now and learning how to navigate the platform, it's going very well atm, I have been surprised by how professional it all looks.

Versatile platform with a personal touch

Skillplate brings courses, communities, memberships, and digital products together in one platform, with AI tools to help create content and build your website. However, what stood out is the customer service.
The CEO personally followed up after my outreach. I really appreciated that level of care and attention!

checkout flow and UI issues

Excitedly, I created a product and tested the checkout flow with my team. Really disappointed. destroys trust. They make it mandatory for someone to create an account to pay for a digital download, and that's tragic. It adds unnecessary friction. Makes the user add their country, it's not even intuitive, my wife struggled to make the purchase. Then there are UI issues upon checkout that aren't fixable via the branding options, and overlapping images on the text, I don't even feel like getting into it all i'm just so disappointed. I realize I'm in the minority here but my voice matters to someone so here it is. I gave it 2 tacos bc it all looks cool on the surface. But functionality is a must.

Good luck folks.

A Great Up for Course Creators

Skillplate is amazing for coaches and course creators. You will find all the tools you need in one place with an easy-to-use UI. The only thing I believe is missing is a dedicated email marketing interface; it's currently limited to email notifications, which are editable.

Caution : Communities are to be hosted externally on Discord

Wanted to start a community (à la Skool) and maybe start selling courses afterwards. My #1 reason for getting this deal was unlimited communities.

I got the Tier5 deal with the no commission add-on and the white label (not refundable) option.

Now, the interface is really good and I'm sure the platform is fine, but just when starting to explore the platform, I created one test community, it brought be to a button that forwards me to Discord. I thought I missed something... but I didn't, it seems. Communities, as of now, are only on Discord.

When coming back here to look at reviews/questions, I noticed that people talked about this before, the founder explained the reasons they went that way at first and that they are also developing internal communities. It's on the roadmap. Still, I we have no idea when that will be live and it could years in the future, who knows. At that time, I would be out of my refund window.

This little fact was a deal breaker for me and I refunded, but I had the "white label" for 299$ that is not refundable so that is a frustrating loss for me that I regret taking. I feel that it was not that clear in the app description that communities were only on Discord at the moment. I'm not sure why I would pay that much when I could just start a Discord server by myself. I don't understand who would want to have a community type platform and host the community on another one requiring another login. It's a head scratcher to me.

Still, I believe the platform seems awesome in many other ways and I'm sure course makers will get very good value out of it. The founder seems great. I still feel like the Discord communities part should be made a lot clearer. That confusion just cost me 299$.

Yes you are correct. Communities use Discord right now. And again as I have said many times Discord is a much better community and communication platform. The reason is people use it a LOT MORE. Not 1 or 2 times more ... 20 times more than Skool. That is why it is worth more than all the rest of the course and community platforms combined.

We will make an internal a la Skool type community quite...
