Make your workflow faster with Slashit
Every day at work, I use prompts that I constantly have to copy and paste, and Slashit solves this problem perfectly. I also plan to explore and learn how to use dynamic templates and magical AI commands, as they are great helpers in my workflow.
One small request: please add support for triggering snippets with the right-side numeric keypad (NumPad). Thank you!

Apr 17, 2026Thanks for sharing this. Copy paste work gets old fast. Glad Slashit is helping with that.
Good call on exploring templates and AI commands. They can save even more time once you set them up.
About NumPad support it’s already live. You can update the app and start using it.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Versatile, Well-Designed Text Expander That Punches Above Its Weight
If you're familiar with tools like TextExpander, SlashIt will feel immediately intuitive – but with a few tricks up its sleeve that in my opinion make it genuinely stand out.
=== Simple, Clean UX ===
Right out of the gate, the UI is refreshingly clean and straightforward. For a newer app, that's not a given – plenty of early-stage tools I've bought on AppSumo sacrifice usability for features in order to get out the door quickly. SlashIt gets the balance right. It's not perfect, but really strong start.
=== Templates and Dynamic Variables Are the Real Star ===
This is where SlashIt really shines. The combination of commands, variations (my favorite feature), and dynamic placeholders makes it remarkably flexible. A few real examples from my workflow:
1) I have a "/username" command with 8 variations so I can instantly pick the right one depending on context.
2) I have a "/bookcall" command that surfaces multiple calendar links, letting me choose the right one the fly (e.g. 15m / 30m / 60m meeting, 30m meeting with restricted hours, etc.).
3) I have a "/liconnect" command to insert a customized LinkedIn connection request message. I can pick a variation that fits the situation (e.g. 2nd degree vs. 3rd degree connection, ICP or ICP-adjacent lead, etc.) and then fill in variables like name and company to personalize whichever variation I choose. The possibilities are genuinely endless, and it all feels fast and natural.
=== Snippets Just Work ===
Nothing fancy to say here – snippets do exactly what they should (replace typed text with other text, just like Apple's native Text Replacements shortcuts). But they work seamlessly, and having them in the same tool as templates is convenient.
=== AI ("Magical") Feature Has Real Potential ===
I haven't leaned into the AI feature heavily since I currently use another AppSumo tool (Triplo AI) for the "AI-on-the-fly" use cases. But honestly, if I saw SlashIt first I probably wouldn't have bought Triplo AI.
E.g. I mainly use Triplo AI to highlight text, and translate back and forth between European Portuguese and English. It took me 30 seconds to set up the exact same hotkey commands in SlashIt (and it was a much simpler interface to do it).
I don't think SlashIt is as powerful as Triplo AI (on purpose), but if you mostly want to highlight a bunch of text and run a pre-defined AI prompt on it (e.g. summarize, improve this prompt, translate this text, etc.) – SlashIt takes care of this use case.
=== A Few Rough Edges, But Expected ===
There are some minor polish bugs here and there – par for the course for software at this stage. What matters is that the developer is active, responsive, and engaged in the Discord community. That responsiveness goes a long way in building trust with early adopters.
=== Bottom Line ===
SlashIt is one of my better AppSumo purchases. It's a strong foundation with genuine day-to-day utility, and the dynamic template system + variations alone is worth the price. If you're looking for a text expander that has some unique (and growing) capabilities baked in, this is a smart pick.

Apr 17, 2026Thanks for taking the time to write this. I read it all.
Glad the app felt easy to use from the start. That balance between simple and useful is something we care about.
Your use cases are great. Commands like /username, /bookcall, and /liconnect are exactly how we hoped people would use it. Variations and placeholders are built for that kind of flexibility.
Good to hear snippets are working as...

I’ve had a hard time with these types of programs always having an annoyance like not retaining the formatting or leaving an icon open in the task bar. (Notifications is better!) This did what I wanted perfectly. Happy when I find these little gems. I’m excited to see how the app will work out with formatting.

Apr 17, 2026Thanks for this. I get what you mean. Small annoyances like formatting issues or taskbar clutter can ruin these tools. Glad Slashit avoided that for you.
Good to hear it worked the way you expected right away. That’s important. We’re still improving formatting support. So your feedback helps there.
Appreciate you sharing this.

Few products truly earn a permanent place in your workflow. For a product manager juggling 8+ projects at once, this one does exactly that — it's not just helpful, it's indispensable.
My daily tasks are painfully repetitive — sending kickoff emails, sharing project timelines, scheduling meetings, filling out the same forms over and over. The messaging part was always the biggest headache. AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude give you something different every time, and honestly, you don't always want that. So I'd save my one perfect email in a doc, hunt it down, copy it, paste it — every single time. It gets old fast.
Slashit fixed that. Snippets and templates that are simple, clean, and exactly where you need them. No hunting, no copy-pasting from a random doc.
Are there UX quirks? A few hiccups here and there — sure. But here's what won me over: their Discord. The love and dedication the team has for this product is genuinely rare to see. That matters.
The first thing I did after using it was ping my sales lead on Slack and tell him to try it immediately — because his team sends the same emails on repeat all day. This is exactly what they need.

Apr 17, 2026Thanks for sharing this. I understand the pain you described. Rewriting the same emails and hunting for saved docs slows everything down.
Good to hear Slashit App is helping you keep snippets and templates in one place. Also appreciate you mentioning the UX quirks. We know there are still small gaps to fix.
And thanks for calling out the community and support. That kind of feedback matters to...

Best for productivity & social media networking
I mainly use Slashit for email replies and social media networking, and it’s been a serious upgrade.
Instead of rewriting the same responses and comments every day, I trigger complete, personalized messages instantly.
What stands out is how seamlessly it fits into my workflow. No switching tabs, no friction, just fast execution.
If your business depends on consistent communication, this tool doesn’t just save time it increases output without burning you out.

Apr 11, 2026Thanks for this. Really clear. Good to hear it’s helping with emails and social media. That’s where a lot of repeat work happens.
The “no switching tabs” part is important. We want it to stay out of your way and just work.
Also glad you mentioned consistency. Fast replies are good, but staying consistent matters more.
Appreciate you sharing this.
