After the proper setup with Google Cloud, everything is working well
Real review here as of Feb. 2026. I am using the maps API key addition to Smatleads via Google Cloud to which I don't see any other way for this tool to function. There's no limits on searches but I have had the occasional network error, I can either re-search to correct or there's simply no leads available in that location.
I appreciate how easy it is to both save and generate lists of leads. I have not tested the Bing or Linkedin search functions deeply, only Google maps. For my reports, I don't include things like creation date or whether I've contacted them. Even the score I eliminate. What is generated is a nice PDF that I can pass along for further outreach purposes as I hate .csv files for leads as the quality is diluted because they're hard to review. What I'd love to see is a simple means of running SEO reports on these leads from the lead list or other domain health/stat reports. I don't really want to copy paste URLs and from what I can see that's the only way. Nonetheless, I use other SEO tools so I wouldn't solely rely on one thing for analysis.
Support for Smatleads has been attentive, they respond rapidly and I have the feeling this tool will soon grow out of a lifetime deal. You should move on this to get locked in!

Feb 16, 2026Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed and honest review — we truly appreciate it.
You’re absolutely right that the Google Cloud / Maps API connection is part of the current infrastructure but you can use the default API or bring yours. We chose this approach intentionally to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and scalability rather than relying on scraped or unstable sources. Our goal is to give users access to clean, dependable lead data with no artificial search caps, and we’re continuing to streamline this setup to make onboarding even smoother.
Regarding the occasional network errors: these are typically session- or provider-level interruptions, and as you noted, a quick re-run resolves them. That said, we’re actively improving request handling and redundancy so results feel more seamless over time.
We’re glad to hear the list-building and PDF reporting workflow is serving you well. Many users, like you, prefer presentation-ready outputs over raw CSV exports, so we designed SmatLeads to support both operational use and client-facing delivery.
Your feedback on integrated SEO/domain health insights is especially valuable — this is something already being explored internally. Our vision is to allow users to enrich lead lists with website intelligence (authority signals, technical health indicators, and quick-glance metrics) without needing to leave the platform or manually copy URLs. We agree this should feel like a natural extension of prospecting, not a separate task.
And thank you for the kind words about support. We’ve made responsiveness a core part of the product experience because SmatLeads is not just software — it’s a workflow partner.
We’re committed to continuing rapid development, expanding data sources, and adding deeper analysis capabilities while keeping the tool fast and practical for everyday outreach.
Grateful to have you on board.
