A: Hi! Build mode works with any language, including Python, JavaScript and R. Learn Mode teaches Java for now, with more languages coming. Hosted models are included (Nemotron 3 Super and gpt-oss-20b), and bringing your own key is optional and unlimited. Unlike using Claude directly, Contral teaches you while it builds, so you actually learn. More is coming at contral.ai/roadmap.

Plain Python and conda projects work; there's no Jupyter or Colab integration yet. Build mode can write your loan-approval agent as normal code that calls an LLM (with your own API key) and an MCP SDK, and the extension supports MCP servers via /mcp.

A: Hi! Yes, Build mode's agent can write React Native, Flutter or native mobile code; there's no mobile starter template, so you run it on your own emulator/device. Local LLMs work via BYOK: Ollama is built into the extension (http://localhost:11434/v1, any model), and LM Studio/vLLM or any OpenAI-compatible server work via a custom base URL. BYOK messages are unlimited.
