Hey Sumo-lings! Omar here again 👋
Big batch shipped this week! Three things worth your attention, plus a handful of smaller ones.
Deals have their own names now
Every deal used to be named after the contact. Sell to the same client three times and you got three deals called "Sarah Chen."
Now every deal has its own optional name field. Leave it blank and nothing changes. Fill it in and it shows on the card, in exports and imports, and through the API and webhooks.
See your deals as a list
Several of you asked for the table view on deals and we heard you! Hit the toggle next to the Deal button and the same deals show up as a table.
You can sort by any column. Pick which columns you see and drag them into your own order. Active, Won and Lost tabs, so closed deals are one click away instead of gone. A reminder column showing overdue, today and future at a glance, clickable to set a reminder without opening the deal. Export the view or just the rows you select. Oh, and keyboard shorcuts works normally here too!
Move a deal to another pipeline (easier than ever)
Before you needed an in-app automation "cross-pipeline" move to move deals between pipelines. Useful but niche and not so easy to find. Now when you edit a deal, you can pick a different pipeline and boom, it moves there. Everything travels with it: value, dates, owner, contact, notes, labels, reminders and full activity history.
Also shipped
Two new keyboard shortcuts (my personal favorite): A logs an activity, N opens notes. Eight total now
Search now matches deal name, email, phone, job title, source, labels and custom fields, not just contact and company
Four fields on a board card instead of three
Merge duplicates now shows email, company, deal count and age before you pick
A few things you might be wondering:
Does the list view replace the board? No. Both are there, one toggle apart. The board stays active-only. The list is where you go to sort, scan or find closed deals.
Do I have to rename my existing deals? No. Deal names are optional and everything you already have keeps working exactly as it did.
What about MCP? Still the priority and being developed. Most of this batch was groundwork for it. Aiming for mid-September, but no hard promises.
Got a question or a feature you want to see? Drop it right here on the page. I read every one, and this batch came almost entirely from your requests, so thank you!
More coming soon. Cheers,
Omar
