I wanted to share what's been shipping lately and a bit about the direction SoundMadeSeen is heading.

The big one: Image Slideshows. You can now add a series of images to your designs and time them in a few different ways - divide evenly across your audio, loop them, align them to speakers in your transcription, or in Beat Mode, sync image changes to the beat. You've also got transitions between slides: fade, wipe, slide, and zoom.

The speaker alignment option is one I'm really excited about. If you're making podcast content, you can drop in an image per speaker and SoundMadeSeen handles the rest - your visuals now change with your conversation without you having to manually time anything.

This is part of a bigger direction for SoundMadeSeen. The goal has always been to help you create great visual content from your audio without needing to be a video editor. Rather than giving you a blank timeline and leaving you to figure it out, we give you tools that do the heavy lifting - you make the creative choices, we handle the tedious part.

There's more time-based features coming that build on this same approach, so your videos can have more depth and variety while still being quick to produce.

Public API schema now available via Swagger UI and ReDoc

One problem user's often face with editing transcriptions is getting the word timing exactly right, and exact timing is what we need to be able to show subtitles precisely

I've just added a whole new way to edit word and phrase timings which I think makes way more sense and makes it a whole lot easier - I just made a video that shows how it works.

New Effects

I've also just added some new effects for videos - Vignette, Light Leak, Film Grain and Film Scratches. These work in both normal and beat mode in the designer, and in beat mode the scratches are beat reactive!

Now it's easy to give your videos a vintage look.

Gradient backgrounds and shapes

You can give your videos an extra splash of color with gradient backgrounds and gradients in your shapes. You can also animate the gradients for colorful and soothing effects!

You can make the blank canvas problem a thing of the past! Just click the new button (you really can't miss it), select a mood, whether you want to generate a background image and prepare to be amazed!

You'll get an instant new design, colours matched, fonts paired, ready to go in no time at all!

It really is that easy, and I can't wait for you to try it!

New AI Image and Video models added.

I've added a whole bunch of AI image and video generation models for you to try out!

Image Models

As well as Flux Schnell and Stability AI, we now have Flux 1.1 Pro, Ideogram V3 Turbo and Recraft V4 (trust me, they're all great)

Video Models

In addition to Runway ML Gen 4 Turbo, we now have Runway Gen 4.5, Seedance 1 Lite (a great low cost model), Kling V3 and Veo 3.1 Fast (Google's latest)

Increased Background Video Limits

I've also increased background video limits for some plans - 2 coupon plans can now have up to 16 background videos, 3 and 4 coupon plans can have up to 24.

I've been busy for the past few weeks on something that's been bugging me since we originally launched - render times.

For those of you working with longer videos, you know what I mean. A one-hour video could take a painfully long time to render.

I mean sure, you could go and make yourself a cup of tea or something, but it really just kills the creative flow.

So I rebuilt the rendering engine.

Basically, your videos are processed in a different way now - faster and at scale. This means you can potentially render an hour long video in under 10 minutes.

In my opinion it changes what SoundMadeSeen feels like to use.
