A must have - GREAT support
We were looking for a tool to better organise our internal processes as we grow, standardise them and monitor their usage and compliance. NextStep is simply perfect at doing this, and exactly what we needed.
We'll leverage the REST API to integrate some processes from our CRM, and we'll also be using the webhooks functionality to let other tools know certain processes have finished and passing them the relevant information.
Support is probably the best i've experienced on an AppSumo deal. We do use Microsoft365, so i requested to have the option to login using Microsoft credentials, and it was done overnight, literally! Ryan then helped us on some minor things related to that login until it was perfect, but i have to say this usually takes months for other tools (or it's never delivered...).
An absolute gem here in AppSumo for any company, big or small, looking to better organise daily processes and tasks.

Very Well Thought Through - Perfect SOP App
So impressed with how this has been put together. This would work for so many scenarios. This is a must have for any company that actually documents, shares, measures processes. Why this is such a low cost, no idea. Genuine bargain on here.

Powerful SOP Tool
I've gone through the tutorial, read through the documentation, and played around with the app a bit. I'm really impressed with how clean the interface is and how powerful the automation and sharing features are. I really like the ability to share a process with a guest user without having to have them create an account. I also like the separation of the concepts of creating vs running a process. So you can create an SOP like End of Month Bookkeeping as a process but then the actual execution of it every month is a run of that process. The automation features are quite powerful too with webhooks and REST API support.
If you believe in the power of systems and processes in your business, this is one tool you won't want to pass up.

Nice & Simple
I like this tool because it is simple and to the point. What I have not figured out yet is how I can use it with existing PM tools like ClickUp, Asana, or Trello, since they offer similar options to create an SOP as a task with subtasks. I am just thinking about how this tool can be separate from those tools without duplicating what is already there. Would love for the founder to give some tips/ideas on this.

The main way NextStep can work well is when you have:
- Specific processes that should be completed in an exact order and way
- When interacting with externals or people who arent often in your task management. An example of this is onboarding people
- Lastly if you have documentation of processes, this can become out of date when it live away from where you work....

Wow! I'm surprised!
I missed the Puzzle deal and regretted it. Now I found something better for my needs.
Puzzle gives me an overview. NextStep helps me get things done and avoid costly mistakes.
I bought it and started working on my own process within 10 minutes.
I'm waiting for the API and MCP.
I'm a bit worried because I could hardly find any information about NextStep online. Will you survive? Will I waste time on my processes if you disappear?
Hope not. Fingers crossed🤞

Edited Apr 8, 2026UPDATE: RestAPI is live!
Hey Mike! Thanks for the kind words, and for being upfront about the concerns too, they're worth addressing.
NextStep has been running for over a year now, and some of our earliest customers are still using it every day. I've kept the stack lean and costs low on purpose, so it can keep going for the long haul without needing massive growth to survive.
As for the lack of...
