One major feature I really miss in Typinator (that TextExpander had) is "Optional Sections"—the ability to have a simple checkbox that completely includes or excludes a block of text when the snippet triggers. For a power user, having rich interactive fields is absolutely crucial: - Optional sections/fields (checkbox to toggle text blocks on/off) - Dropdown menus (selecting one option from a list) - Multiple-choice checkboxes (selecting several items from a list to insert) - Radio buttons And yeah please consider BYOK on tier 1. If a lightweight native Swift version of Slashit had these advanced fill-in types, it would blow the competition out of the water.
Hi, I’m a heavy user of text expansion tools (used TextExpander for years, currently on Typinator). Slashit looks super cool and I'm really interested in what you're building! However, I noticed right after launching it that it’s an Electron app. While the CPU usage seems okay so far (I haven't even logged in yet), just starting the app spawns multiple helper processes and eats up a significant amount of RAM. For an always-on utility, an Electron app is honestly a dealbreaker for me. I really prefer proper, lightweight Mac apps over wrapped web apps. Any plans to build a true, native Swift version? I’m looking for something lightweight that doesn't hog resources, supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and ideally older macOS versions too. I’d jump on this instantly if it were a native Mac app. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Will iphone app will be part of 39$ plan?
If I use different devices, like Windows as well as macOS, if I log into the same account, can I limit what each account can see? Because one of those is my work laptop, and I do not want access to all snippets.
