While the app is a good solution to some things, such as the screen recording, it's not very convenient.
The editing has plenty of flaws - for example when cutting out scenes you have to manually drag the sections of the video to close the empty gaps. You have to manually adjust the end time of the project. The project size can change and I haven't found a way to change it back to the video size. There are volume issues (it blocks my computer from being able to adjust the volume).
Truth is I stopped using the editor, I just record and then use CapCut to edit because it's so much more convenient.

I purchased and downloaded ScreenToVideo and tested it out multiple times on a back-up Windows 11 laptop. Despite an unnecessarily clunky interface and very limited saving options (no way to save any recording as MP3 unless you go outside of Quick Record and experiment alot), I was able to save short videos of my desktop screen doing back work or recording very brief videos on YouTube just testing it out. However, when I tried to record a much longer Zoom webinar taking place live it simply puttered out with the video that was finally recorded being unwatchable gibberish - the woman talking for an hour and a half couldn't say a single word since the screen locked while she was talking and wouldn't play so no sound and just a frozen video image of her in mid-sentence.

When I tried to fast forward or rewind the video, it stayed locked. After trying multiple times, I gave up and accepted the video recording of the Zoom webinar was unwatchable. I tried again a day later after a replay had been sent and again, the same thing: screen freezing up, no sound, unwatchable.

For now at least, this only seems capable of recording very short, very simple videos and that doesn't serve any real purpose for me personally or professionally. I've read other reviews with others having similar issues, especially with the other recording methods so I don't think this is something I can use or would want to try using again.

ScreenToVideo delivers strong core functionality and performs reliably for its intended use. However, the user interface needs significant improvement—navigation is confusing, key actions are not intuitive, and the overall workflow feels unnecessarily difficult. With a redesigned UI and clearer layout, this product could become excellent. I am rooting for your product.

This tool has value-to-price ratio perfectly balanced. It provides everything you need for tutorials and talking head videos in an easy-to-use platform. Their tutorials are fantastic and easy to understand. I am so happy to have found this gem on App Sumo. I have other screen recorders, but this one is the best because of its built in editing features.

Video editing have a low learning curve. I found it intuitive, for a person that doesn't have much experience in it. The background remover is similar the a Zoom meeting. Which is fine for Zoom since its a live experience. StV performance is very similar, so some background items will flash in and out.
